ceramic on it so it looks it's white so
it actually looks like a tooth whereas
before they used to heat up the metal
and they would have in the mold they
would have whatever they wanted.
They would use wax to make it in the shape
that they wanted they'd have a mold and
then they heat up the metal and they'd
actually you like sling it what that
would do is it would sling the metal
into the into the mold and and then
you'd have a whatever they were making
jewelry or whatever and we use the same
thing I went ahead and just released it
and the arm just it used centrifugal
force to shoot the gold into the into
the ring.
Dover's dental lab makes around
five hundred pieces a year while most
bases have five to ten lab technicians
this shop only has two we have the the
cast and what we're going to do is in
order to make it the material really
adapt to the cast to each tooth we just
you melt the the material it'll slump
down a little bit and so it's going to
be a pliable at that point once it cools
down and like everything else.
Then we can just we'll cut up cut it up and like
rough it up and then it just it goes
from a point of being rough to smooth
you know so you just got to go it's a
rough product and you just keep skipping
to smoother and smoother until it's
finally fabricated it's it's completed
also we do night guards which are like I
said before just if somebody has
they Brooks at night.
Which means they
grind their teeth at night then you have
to put you could put where that night
guard piece of plastic that will
separate your teeth so you stop the
grinding Dover's clinic has won many
awards including medium dental clinic of
the year in 2011 and 2012.
